PROJECT GREEN LANDSCAPE STUDIO: Before and Afters I loved designing and installing this project. It still feels so unreal when seeing the initial photos taken of the site. The drop from the house to the boundary wall was a staggering 1.8 m over 13 meters. That's serious stuff- you would have needed a Land Cruiser to access the garden. With the innovative concept of building these 'wings', on various levels, ensured that not only would the garden become accessible, but perfectly level. That is the essence of design - at first glance it seemed impossible to come up with concrete solutions, yet thanks to careful thought and numerous calculations, the area reached its utmost potential, converting it to a perfect, livable setting. Footnote: not a single cube of soil had to be imported! Whatever came out from the foundations for the retaining walls, were used for the backfill! Had this not been the case, supplying top soil would have been a tedious job, at a massive expense, and
